Some Great Places to Celebrate Halloween

For some folks, Halloween is the best holiday of the year. If you have been working on your costume since March, we’ve got some events on the calendar that you need to know about! Some of them are kid friendly, some more geared toward adults. However you celebrate Halloween, there’s something for everyone this year in Springfield!

Field of Screams Haunted Trail & Forrest

A great way to celebrate Halloween.  Southwest Missouri’s Totally Redesigned Haunted Trail & Forest. We’ve acquired another haunted attraction and incorporated it into our over 1/2 mile trail which bends through the forest and along the river. Nothing will be the same as last year. In addition to the redesign of our attraction, we’ll also be taking many safety precautions. The safety of our staff and customers is our number 1 priority. 

Halloween Monster Ball

Oct 24th  7PM

Chateau Charmant – 1700 Martins Branch Rd – Fordland, MO 65652

The Ball will be at the Castle in Fordland again!   All net proceeds will be donated to C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue! Do not wait to get your tickets! Early Bird tickets are available but will not last long. Tickets will be more limited this year than last year so don’t wait!

Every event ticket includes: Fully catered dinner by Los Cabos! – Amazing Sound & Lighting – DJ & Dancing all night – Cash Bar – Over $5,000 in raffle giveaways!

Each guest will receive a raffle ticket upon arrival and automatically be entered in the raffles throughout the night! *Must be present to claim prize.

To receive an extra 4 raffle tickets, bring a large bag of dog food or cat litter that will be donated to our partners at C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue. We will personally match every bag donated. Extra raffle tickets will also be available for purchase.

The Masquerade Ball

Be Unstoppable! Enjoy outrageous music, dance, and the delicacies of famed French Chef Roland Parny. Dance Outdoor on the new life size chess board in the courtyard or Indoor, all in the 13th century castle Chateau Charmant! Raffles and a spooky good time as a sword fight takes place over a damsel!  Profits go to Make A Wish

Ghost Tours at Pythian Castle

When: Every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 8PM

Where: Pythian Castle

Hear ghostly tales while touring the castle. Tour lasts and hour and half and includes brief history.

Rocky Horror Picture Show @ Gillioz Theatre

Moonlight Maskerade

Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, 2400 S. Scenic Ave

FOG and FMO team up on a Halloween outing for all ages!

Come in costume to enjoy the full moon and autumn colors of the garden and sample food and beverages from local food artisans.

ADMISSION

– Adults: $15 in advance, $17 at the gate; includes 6 tickets to sample food/beverage (alcoholic and non) from FMO vendors

– Children ages 3-12: $5 in advance; $7 at the gate; includes tickets to redeem at treat stops throughout the garden

– Family: $40 in advance, $45 at the gate; includes admission for two adults and three children

Purchase additional tasting tickets for $1 each.

All proceeds from this event benefit the enhancement of the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden and the mission of Farmers Market of the Ozarks.

 

Spooky Symphony

OCT 30 – 7 p.m.

Juanita K Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts  – 525 S John Q Hammons Parkway

 

This is the 12th year the Springfield Symphony Orchestra has offered a free concert perfect for the city’s youngest music lovers. Each year, the symphony plays Halloween classics and spooky tunes, and kids are welcome to wear Halloween costumes to the show. There’s even a costume contest! Pick up tickets at the door the night of the event for first-come first-served seating.
