Springfield Housing Market is on the Rise

According to the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, the Springfield housing market is steadily selling inventory.  There are more buyers in the market driving this rise in prices.  These statistics are just for the Springfield, MO housing market.

The days on market for June 2015 are lower days on market for June 2014 indicating a strong housing market.  The average list and sales prices are both up for June 2015 over June 2014.  This indicates that prices are on the rise, all are good signs for a strong housing market.  I expect these trends to continue in the near future.

The days on market for June are lower than the average year to date days on market indicating not only a strong housing market, but an improving housing market as the year has gone along. The average list and sales prices are both up for June over the year to date numbers. These numbers indicate that the Springfield housing market has been steadily rising for a few months now. Welcome news for all home owners after the decline that started in 2007.

Watch for future reports for Nixa, MO and Ozark, MO. As always, if you have any specific questions about the market or if you need help buying and/or selling real estate in the Springfield area, let me know, I would love to hear from you.
